Resolution and sensor specifications

As a 6.3 megapixel camera, the DS6041 has a maximum resolution of 3,072 by 2,048 pixels. Minor resolutions can be set to 2,048 by 1,360 pixels and 1,536 by 1,024 pixels. The image ratio is 3: 2. The sensor type is CMOS, with a sensor size of 22.7 by 15.1 mm. ISO speeds can be set to 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1600.

Shooting capabilities

Autofocus is available with multi-base TTL preset options and seven focus points. There is also a manual focus option available. Six presets of white balance can be used to correct lighting automatically, while a manual function can be adjusted for custom levels. The minimum shutter speed is 30 seconds, while the maximum shutter speed is 1/400 seconds. There are available aperture priority and shutter priority trigger modes. Remote controls can be used through an E3 connector or infrared. A timer can be set for a delay of 10 seconds. The camera does not have a digital approach or image stabilization, besides, it does not have the capacity to record videos.

Flash

The camera has an integrated flash that uses an emerging system. The range of the flash is up to 12 meters. An external flash can be connected through a shoe mount or E-TTL. Flash modes can be set to auto, red-eye reduction and off.

Storage

Images can be stored on Compact Flash memory cards (type I or II). Photos can be stored in fine or normal quality levels. You can also save raw uncompressed files.
